Wow let me just take a minute to acknowledge the amazing community in Lafayette 🙏🏼 We planned a community painting day with the hopes of getting people outside working with their hands, and boy you all turned out! It was relaxed and casual, with the first signs of fall in the air, coffee/painting/music/donuts, what an absolute treat to meet you all and share some of my painting process with you. I’m also still so excited to see my work at this scale with the likes of @camer1sf @cobreart @_emilyding @maxsansing and @anthonybrooksart, what a massive and amazing team of artists @tippecanoearts has pulled together here ❤️

One of our hopes with these crosswalk and intersection paintings was to slow down traffic on Wabash Ave, and while we hope that this has a positive effect in that regard, we also really wanted to provide a certain amount of beauty and light to an otherwise overlooked part of our public spaces.
